Felix Deufel

Felix Deufel is a sound artist and creative director whose work focuses on sound in space, spatial hearing, and the role of soundscapes in society and the environment. His projects explore the impact of humans on ecosystems through the acoustics of landscapes in the context of climate change. He creates installations, compositions, performances, and field research projects, often collaborating across dance, film, and music. He is the founder of Not a Number studio and the Centre for Immersive Media Art, Music, and Technology (ZiMMT) in Leipzig, and leads workshops on field recording and spatial audio technologies worldwide.
