Jakub Mokrzysiak (biøs)

Jakub Mokrzysiak (biøs) is a music producer and sound engineer based in Silesia, Poland. For over fifteen years, he has worked at the intersection of electronic music, sound art, and new media. His practice defies conventional genre boundaries, moving fluidly between ambient, IDM, experimental electronics, and spatial composition.

He is an active contributor to the music scene in southern Poland. Mokrzysiak serves as co-curator and sound director of the Tonarium – New Media Laboratory and as artistic director of the Soundscape Foundation. He has collaborated and performed live with the Aukso Chamber Orchestra. He received a Gold Record for co-producing and mixing Orell, the album by the duo Bass Astral x Igo. He has performed at Poland’s leading electronic music festivals, including Unsound, Audioriver, and Up To Date.

A significant part of his artistic practice focuses on multichannel sound installations and immersive audiovisual works designed for specific architectural spaces. His work has been presented at institutions including the Silesian Museum in Katowice and ZIMMT in Leipzig. Alongside this, he performs with Spektrum, an audiovisual project created in collaboration with Kuba Stelmach, where sound, image, and space merge into a cohesive immersive experience.

He has recently completed Oneiron, a collaborative album with Fabian Klimanek, scheduled for release at the end of 2026.
