Laura Adel

Laura Adel is an interdisciplinary artist currently pursuing a PhD at the Doctoral School of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Her doctoral research, The Sensitivity of Art: Research and Creation of Immersive Interactive Installations, is supervised by Professor Jakub Jernajczyk. She is a recipient of the Jerzy Grotowski Doctoral Scholarship for outstanding artistic achievement. She completed a residency at the University of Applied Arts Linz, Austria, where she developed her sculptural objects under the supervision of Professor Martin Kaltenbrunner, expanding them through tactile interactivity. As part of her doctoral research, she is developing the concept of the “dialogic attitude,” arguing that interaction with technology enables people to transcend the limitations of the body, enhancing cognitive capacities and deepening relationships with the contemporary environment. In her artistic practice, she explores the subtlety of the digital world by creating abstract, kinetic imagery inspired by natural phenomena. Working across installation, video, and sculptural objects, her practice investigates the sensory and relational dimensions of digital media. Her work has been exhibited at venues including the Łaźnia Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdańsk, the Four Domes Pavilion – Museum of Contemporary Art in Wrocław, and the Ars Electronica Center in Linz, Austria. | http://www.lauraadel.com/
