Ziemowit Jarecki

Ziemowit Jarecki (b. 2003) is a multimedia artist and a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where he studied Graphic Arts. In his artistic practice, he combines technology with an archaic need for ritual. He creates interactive installations and hybrid sculptures—autonomous artifacts of fictional civilizations brought to life through custom-built electronics. Mapping the crisis of rationalism and contemporary systemic pathologies, his work examines the impact of digital infrastructure on human behavior and explores how media and technology have come to assume the role once held by myths.
