We understand adaptation as a practice of regulation, not as passive adjustment to external conditions.

We think in terms of creating our own enclaves, subsystems, and tools wherever dominant ones have failed.

We ask who defines the boundaries of safety and under what terms access is granted.

We seek artistic practices that develop their own forms of resistance to the pervasive politics of productivity and algorithms.

The Soundscape Foundation is a research and creative platform that considers sound as a spatial and culturally transformative medium. It operates at the intersection of art, technology, and education, focusing on immersive sound, multi-channel systems, and new media.

The foundation's key project is Tonarium — a hybrid instrument enabling intuitive manipulation of soundscapes in real time. The system combines analog synthesis, matrix signal distribution, and digital 3D sound control (spat revolution), offering unique creative and performative possibilities.

Tonarium also functions as a new media laboratory at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice — a workshop and research space where the foundation develops modern methods of working with technologies and conducts educational activities.
